At hackathons, you have the ability to build on any idea you can come up with. Web design, frontend/backend development, iOS and Android apps, hardware hacks, and server management are just a few of the possibilities!
Workshops, tech talks, and access to mentors allows both beginning and experienced students to learn new technologies. Head over to our sponsor tables and find out about potential internship and career opportunities!
Working alongside equally passionate people allows you to become encouraged to keep building and learning. You’ll be amazed what you can accomplish as a team.
HackFSU '17 will take place from March 2nd to the 4th at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. in the Dirac Science Library.
Become a mentor! Give back to the community by helping hackers learn and build something awesome.
Whatever you can think up! We’ll have mentors to help you with web, mobile, hardware, design, and any development in between!
After you apply, you will receive a confirmation email. Later, you'll get an acceptance email and you can RSVP to reserve your spot.
You will have 36 hours to build but we will also have opening and closing ceremonies as well as the project expo. Prepare to spend your weekend with us starting Friday night and we’ll have you out around midday on Sunday. A more detailed scheduled will be released closer to the event.
Food. Enough free grub to keep you hacking for 30 hours. Dietary restrictions? No problem, we got you.
Awesome! We have prizes for newcomers, as the best way to learn is by building. There will be mentors to help you every step of the way. We all start somewhere, why not here?
Anyone that is currently a college student or that has graduated in the past year is invited. High schoolers can go ahead and apply and we'll notify you if any problems come about.
Teams have a maximum of 4. If you don’t have a team, no sweat, we will have a mixer for you to discuss ideas and meet other hackers to join forces.
Bring your student ID, laptop, chargers, a change of clothes, your resume, and toiletries. A pillow and sleeping bag may be useful as well. You do not have to bring a team, idea, food, or any drinks. Please leave anything illegal at home.
Each year, we set out to build a culture of creation. Students put aside their weekend for the opportunity to build whatever they can think of alongside hundreds of other students from around the country. Mentors from the industry volunteer their knowledge to support your crazy ideas. All we ask is that you come prepared with an open mind, ready to dedicate 36 hours to learn something new.
